Your CV and applying

A motivation letter is usually expected, especially early in your career

Most Dutch applications expect a motivatiebrief alongside the CV, and it matters more when you have little work history because it is where you explain why you want this specific job. Some platforms treat it as optional and say so. Keep it direct and factual: Dutch hiring culture distrusts flattery and sales language, and praising the company at length reads as having nothing concrete to offer.
