Your CV and applying

Leave out marital status, and you can leave out your date of birth

Marital status does not belong on a Dutch CV: it is not relevant to the work and it invites discrimination. Date of birth is mixed practice, some Dutch guides still list it and others leave it out, so treat it as optional and drop it if you would rather not be judged on age. Dutch law is on your side here: the Wet gelijke behandeling op grond van leeftijd bij de arbeid covers recruitment and selection, not only the job once you have it.
