How much you can earn and still get healthcare allowance
Dutch health insurance is compulsory and expensive, and zorgtoeslag gives part of it back if your income is low enough. In 2026 you qualify if your yearly income stays under EUR 40,857 on your own, or under EUR 51,142 for you and a toeslagpartner together. Students and part-time workers are very often under this and never apply. You claim it yourself through Dienst Toeslagen, and it can be backdated.
