Your employer keeps paying you when you are sick
If you are ill your employer must keep paying at least 70 percent of your wage, for up to two years. In the first year of illness it must be topped up to at least the minimum wage. In the second year that top-up no longer applies, so 70 percent can fall below the minimum wage. If you are ill because of pregnancy, childbirth or organ donation you get 100 percent. A collective agreement can be more generous, never less.
